Where are you from? Where are you living now?

I'm from Portland, Oregon. Currently I live in Corvallis, Oregon. 

Which degree are you working towards?

Fisheries, wildlife and conservation science.

What do you hope to do with your degree? What are your career ambitions?

I hope to do a lot of fieldwork or in science communication. I would like to work for governments or nonprofits. 

What are your hobbies- what do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time I like to paint, read and make jewelry.  I have also recently taken up birdwatching.  

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself.

An interesting fact about me is that I've never broken a bone.

What would you like to learn/discuss in this term related to online communication? Use what you learned in the weekly lecture and your weekly readings to discuss your interests.

I would like to discuss more how to communicate with employers/ communicate qualifications for jobs online.

How do you primarily use online communication, and why do you use the channels you do? (i.e., Twitter, blog, Facebook, Pinterest, email, etc.)

I mainly use email (for school and work) and for personal use (communicating with friends) I use Instagram direct messaging.
